BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 starts rolling out

Months after the BlackBerry OS 10.2 roll out, BlackBerry has released the OS 10.2.1 update for the Z10, Q10, Q5, Z30 and the Porsche Design P’9982. a lot of new features including pinch gesture to filter BlackBerry Hub, new incoming call screen with intuitive icons, Actionable Lock Screen Notifications, Picture Password for Quick Unlocking , Offline Browser Reading Mode, Device and Battery Monitor, FM Radio for select devices and more.



New features in BlackBerry OS 10.2.1
  • Customize Pinch Gesture to Filter BlackBerry Hub to instantly filter the message list in the Hub.
  • Simplified Phone Experience with new incoming call screen with swipe gestures and intuitive icons
  • Option to create SMS and email groups
  • Actionable Lock Screen Notifications lets you Tap to open a message that appears on the lock screen
  • Picture Password lets you quickly unlock your phone using a combination of a picture and a number
  • Customizable Quick Settings Menu lets you customize what appears on the Settings menu such as Brightness
  • Offline Browser Reading Mode lets you save the current web page for offline viewing
  • Preferred Contact Sync lets choose the sync source for your contacts
  • New Device and Battery Monitor offers essential details on battery usage,  memory usage and storage, as well as CPU stats.
  • Automatic Software Updates over a Wi-Fi connection
  • New Enterprise Features
  • Unlocks  built-in FM radio in BlackBerry Z30, Q10 and Q5 smartphones.
The new BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 update would be available to all the BlackBerry 10 smartphones around the world. It is rolling out starting today in the U.S., Europe, Canada, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
